- 85 x Game cards as shown below:
The Winner
- The first player to get 3 Good Eggs wins the game.
Setup
Step 1: Give each player 1 Good Egg & create the "Egg Pile"
- Give each player 1 Good Egg. These should be displayed Good Egg side up in front of each player.
- Grab the remaining Egg cards and place them in a pile between the players. This is the "Egg Pile".
Step 2: Deal 5 cards & create the “Draw Pile”
- Shuffle the remaining cards and deal 5 to each player.
- Place the remaining cards face down between the players. This is the "Draw Pile".
On Your Turn
- Swap a card OR play a card.
How to Swap a Card
- Take the top card from the Draw Pile.
- Discard a card (face up) onto a "Discard Pile" next to the Draw Pile.
- You can discard the card that you just picked up if you want to.
- Your turn is now over.
What to do if the Draw Pile Runs Out
- If the Draw Pile runs out of cards simply turn over the Discard Pile to create a new Draw Pile.
How to Play a Card
- Play a valid card from your hand.
- At the end of your turn, discard any used cards and grab new ones from the Draw Pile so that you have 5 cards again.
- Blue "Chicken Action" cards must be played with a purple "Chicken" card.
- Red "Regular Action" cards are used against other players.
- Green "Undo" cards cancel actions used against you. "Cluck Off" is played immediately (not on your turn).
- See the "Types of Cards" section for more information about each card.
Maximum of 3 Egg Cards
- You can’t have more than 3 Egg cards in front of you.
- If you have 3 eggs then you cannot receive (or swap) any of your Egg cards.
- If you have 3 eggs then you need to make your Bad Eggs good again.
- Remember that your Good eggs can still be taken from you by other players.
Types of Card
- Here is a detailed explanation for each of the different types of cards.
- If you are still confused by any of the cards or their interactions after reading this, then please contact us.
Good Egg & Bad Egg Cards
- These cards have a picture of a Good Egg on one side and a Bad Egg on the other.
- You need 3 of these cards with the Good Egg side face up in front of you to win the game.
- Turn over a Good Egg card to make it Bad.
- Turn over a Bad Egg card to make it Good.
Chickens (Purple Cards)
- There are four different Chicken cards. These are: Mother Hen, Golden Hen, Baby Hen and Rooster.
- Chicken cards are used with blue Chicken Action cards.
- Each Chicken has three star scores which are: Pecking Order, IQ and Speed.
- A star score of 4 is the best, and 1 is the worst.
Chicken Actions (Blue Cards)
- You can play a blue "Chicken Action" card on you turn if you have one.
- The Chicken Actions cards are: Star Egg Head, Star Pecking Order, Star Chicken Run, Egg Laying Song and Hatch It.
- You will always need a Chicken card to use with a Chicken Action card.
Star Cards
- The Star cards let you challenge another player. The winner gets to take a Good Egg from the other player.
- There are three Star cards. These are: Star Egg Head (IQ), Star Pecking Order (Pecking Order), Star Chicken Run (Speed).
- Each Chicken card has three star values on it. These are: Pecking Order, IQ and Speed. A star value of 4 is the best and 1 is the worst.
- Choose which Star card you want to use and decide which is the best Chicken card to use with it.
- Now choose another player to play against (they must have at least one good egg). Place your Star card face up in front of you and your chosen Chicken card face down.
- Let the other player know what Star card it is.
- If the other player immediately plays a "Cluck Off" card then nobody wins an egg. You must now discard your Star and Chicken card and draw 2 new cards. Your turn is now over.
- The other player must now place down a Chicken card if they have one.
- Both turn over your Chicken cards. The player with the most number of stars (specified on the Star card) wins a Good Egg from the other player.
- If the other player does not have a Chicken card then you win. Take back your Chicken card (make sure that they don't see what it is).
- If both Chicken cards are the same then nobody wins.
- If the other player has more stars than you but you don't have any Good Eggs then they can't take an egg from you.
- Nobody can take a Bad Egg card from the other player.
- Discard the cards that you used and draw new ones so that you have 5 again.
- The other player should discard their Chicken card if they used one and draw a new card.
- Your turn is now over.
Egg Laying Song
- The "Egg Laying Song" card lets you grab a Good Egg from the Egg Pile to add to your clutch.
- You cannot use this card if you already have 3 Egg cards (Good or Bad).
- Play this card on your turn with any Chicken card (place both cards down, face up in front of you).
- Next, take a Good Egg from the Egg Pile.
- Discard the Egg Laying Song card and your Chicken card by placing them face up on the Discard Pile.
- Finally, draw two replacement cards so that you have 5 in your hand again. Your turn is now over.
Hatch It

- If the other player immediately plays a "Cluck Off" card then give them their Good Egg back. You must now discard your Hatch It and Chicken card and draw 2 new cards. Your turn is now over.
- Once you have taken the Good Egg then the other player can choose to keep your Chicken. If they want the Chicken then they must discard one of their own cards (to ensure that they only have 5 cards).
- Discard the Hatch It card (and Chicken card if the other player does not want it).
- Finally, draw two replacement cards so that you have 5 in your hand again. Your turn is now over.
